NESS H200 Hand Rehabilitation System
Designed to improve the use of your hand. The NESS H200 allows you to open and close your hand with less difficulty, and grasp and release objects.
The NESS H200 is a state-of-the-art functional electrical stimulation system that uses low-level stimulation to help your hand open and close with customisable stimulation programmes to help you perform daily activities and also re-educate your muscles over time. The hand-held control unit sends electrical pulses to the muscles that control hand and wrist function. Your healthcare professional customises the settings for the stimulation that’s right for you.
Beyond helping movement in your hand and wrist, the NESS H200 may also, improve active hand range of motion and function, re-educate muscles to function without the system, reduce muscle spasms, increase local blood circulation and prevent muscle loss (often called atrophy)
With just one hand, you can put on, operate, and remove the NESS H200, making it lightweight and comfortable.

Shrinking the monster – The MS Society’s new workbook
Written by Jo Johnson, a neuro-psychologist, this workbook can help you recognise, name and tame the ‘MS creature’ who takes up residence, uninvited. This way of thinking about your MS doesn’t suit everybody, but many people who have used this approach seem to find the idea of shrinking the monster increases their feelings of control. Drawing on ‘cognitive behavioural therapy’ and ‘narrative therapy’, Shrinking the monster tackles serious, personal issues, but can be used and discussed with the whole family including young children.
