Sensory Zone
Parents and carers of disabled children will be interested to hear about the new Sensory Zone from SensoryPlus which has just been confirmed – a soothing area for children to briefly escape the show, and an opportunity for families and professionals to understand a little more about sensory environments.
Get your own free wheelchair MOT at the show!!
Mobility Pitstop will be on hand throughout the show to assess your wheelchair or any other mobility product for “street worthiness”. Plus - any items they can repair there and then, they will provide labour free of charge!! Mobility Pitstop will also be showing many of the spare parts that they offer including batteries, tyres, chargers and spoke guards, and they will all be available for purchase at the show.
Mobility Pitstop aims to provide great advice, the highest quality products, spares and services to the elderly and disabled. They have a full range of Scooters, Wheelchairs, Stair Lifts, Seating Products and Aids for daily living. Advice Centre – New for 2009!
Need to understand more about your benefit entitlements? Want some advice on a legal or financial issue? or simply a better understanding of what products and equipment would be right for you?& Pop into the Centre for free one to one advice. The Department of Work and Pensions, Citizen’s Advice Bureau, DirectGov, Remploy plus the Disabled Living Foundation will all be on hand to offer you relevant and informed advice. (Note – there’s also lots to learn about benefits and employment in the seminar programme!)
